Rare Black Sea Devil Angler Fish Caught on Film for the First Time
WOW!! When I first saw a picture of this fish, I was like, “WTF”? After doing a little research, I found out that it was a rare Black Sea Devil Angler.
The fish was observed on November 17th by scientist Bruce Robison and his team at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute. To capture it on film, they sent a remotely operated vehicle named Don Ricketts into the Monterey Canyon, some 1,900 feet below the surface of the ocean. Now that’s some deep shit!!! (pun intended) LOL!!
